Welcome Rainbow
Leaders Please...
We welcome our newest leader Sunshine (Nicole, Hudson's mum) and thank her for joining us. She was previously a cub leader in Greely, and we are thankful that she has joined our colony.
Our beloved Bubbles will be taking a rest soon to care for her upcoming arrival (due in just over two weeks). Those of you who were interested in being part time leaders, please consider completing the rest of the required training and joining us for a while. We have five leaders for 21 children, we just make ratio. When Bubbles leaves will we be under ratio and will have to borrow help from outside sources. We are expecting another leader to join us soon, however just making ratio leaves us short if one leader can't make it to a meeting.
Thanks again!

If you were not at the apple orchard and need to pick up your popcorn order forms give Chip/Fiona a call and I can drop them off or send them via kidmail. Group Committee Meeting
Our area commissioner, Ken, has asked that we extend an invitation to all parents to attend the Group Committee meeting Sunday September 30, 6:30pm. If you are interested in learning more about Scouting, and the planning process, this is your chance!
Wednesday, September 26th
All Sections Meeting
We hope everyone enjoyed the first meeting of the year. We have a current enrollment of 19 youth and have almost reached our maximum for the year. Beaver scouts is run with a 1:5 Leader to Youth ratio. We could use your help as anyone attending tonight's meeting was sure to notice that Bubbles will be taking some time off shortly to care for her expected arrival in November. The more leaders we have, the more youth we can accomodate.
The second meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday the 26th at Trinity Bible Church, 4101 Stagecoach Road. The meeting will begin at 6:30 and end at 8:00. It will be an outdoor meeting. Please bring a cup or mug for each Beaver. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer, training will be held at this time.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday!

Volunteering
This year we are very fortunate to have four returning leaders. In order to continue the program and provide the best experience we can for as many youth as possible, we do need more help. If you are able to attend meetings and help out in as few as three meetings this year, we NEED you. We are asking for help at whatever level you are able to commit to. You may arrive at meetings and help out, or you may join up and help us plan and organize the meetings. Scouts Canada takes the safety and security of all children very seriously. As a result there is mandatory training for all volunteers. We are holding a training session during the meeting time on the 26th of September at Trinity Bible Church. While your children are enjoying Scouting, you may complete part of the training that will allow you to be a part of their Scouting experience. Parents may still attend meetings and events with their child/children without taking the training, but may not help out with other children or help run any events or programming. As a leader you will become a valued and valuable member of our team.
Please consider joining us!
